How far along-  7 weeks
Baby size of: Blueberry
Favorite moment this week- First doctor appt. at the Women's Center with Dr. Acker!
Clint was really especially sweet while we were in Mexico. He would make sure I was fed, comfortable, and taken care of! I could get used to this! ;)
Miss Anything: Starbucks lattes. Can't have them because it's too much caffeine with the expresso. I have been drinking a little bit of regular coffee and tea so I'm not missing out too much. I'm sure I will miss the expresso more once school starts in a couple weeks! I missed alcoholic drinks a little while in Mexico last week but with the nausea/headaches I was having I already felt like I was hungover!

Movement: No
Food cravings- I have been craving carbs & chicken noodle soup! Mainly CHICK-FIL-A!
Anything making you queasy or sick- I've been nauseous for the past two weeks, mainly in the morning and evening. It's normally when I have an empty stomach and eating helps ALOT!
Have you started to show yet- No.
Gender- Don't know!
Belly Button in or out- in
Other Notes: I've been eating pretty bland food. All I want is crackers and soup or "sick" food if you will.
Exercise: Doctor said I can continue what I have been doing. I did Zumba 3 times while in Mexico and I'm back to teaching my regular Zumba schedule at Piranha 5 times a week. I've still been doing Power training just no maxing out.
Sleep: Sleeping good just getting up 2-3 times to go to the bathroom every night. Annoying!
Looking forward to: Getting through the first trimester healthy and happy!
Interesting facts from parenting.com- By the end of this week, the embryo will more than double its length, growing from approximately 4 to 5 millimeters to 11 to 13 millimeters. It is now about the size of a raspberry. The head is disproportionately larger than the rest of the body, and dark spots mark where the eyes and nostrils will be. The forebrain has divided into the two parts that make up the cerebral hemispheres of the brain, where as many as 100 nerve cells are created each minute.

Sorry about the silly sad face... Clint and I thought it was funny!
Smiling doesn't really match what is on the chalkboard but I'm happy to be pregnant & be healthy!

How far along-  8/9 weeks
Baby size of: Strawberry!
Favorite moment this week- Nothing really special
Miss Anything: Starbucks lattes. Can't have them because it's too much caffeine with the expresso. I have been drinking a little bit of regular coffee and tea so I'm not missing out too much. I'm sure I will miss the expresso more once school starts in a couple weeks! I missed alcoholic drinks a little while in Mexico last week but with the nausea/headaches I was having I already felt like I was hungover!
Movement: No
Food cravings- Still loving soup!
Anything making you queasy or sick- YES! I have been nauseous but still not vomiting. Sensitive to smells.  Clint was eating corn nuts one day and I couldn't stand the smell! It was horrible!
I've been eating pretty bland food. All I want is crackers and soup or "sick" food if you will.
Have you started to show yet- No.
Gender- Don't know!
Belly Button in or out- in
Exercise: Zumba & Powertraining
Sleep: Sleeping good just getting up to go to the bathroom every night still.
Looking forward to: Feeling better with not so much nausea.
Other Notes: Interesting facts about development from Parenting.com (Week 9)- The embryo may now officially be called a fetus, which literally means "little one" -- and he or she about the size of a strawberry. An inch long, it has hands that can flex at the wrist, and is able to fold them over his heart. Eyelids cover their eyes, and it's ears are beginning to take shape on the sides of it's head.

How far along-  10 weeks
Baby size of: Cocktail shrimp and the shape of one!
Favorite moment this week: People are saying they can start to see Baby Lipscomb! Also, Momma took Baby L to his/her first Aggie Football game! My sweet cousin Amanda Smith invited me and we sat with my Uncle John! We enjoyed the game and got to sit in the shade! We drank lots of water! We are excited to know if we have a future Aggie boy or girl!
Miss Anything: Not missing lattes anymore because........ I got my first PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE of Fall 2013. I unlocked the code at the University location and now everyone can enjoy them early! I got it half caff. I read on a website thats what other pregnant women do to get their fix.

Looking forward to: Announcing to everyone our exciting news NEXT WEEK! We are announcing on September 5th which is our next appointment and my BIRTHDAY! This is the BEST birthday gift I could ever ask for! Thank you God for blessing us!
Other Notes: Interesting developmental facts from parenting.com- Tooth buds are forming, bones are growing, and hair is starting to sprout. Her eyelids are fused shut and will remain closed until week 27, but she can hear you now since the inner workings of the ear are complete. Neurons appear at one end of the spinal cord, and the basic divisions of the brain are present. She can also bend her arms at the elbows and has distinct fingers. Genitals continue to form, but your doctor would not be able to determine the sex yet, even by sonogram.

Looking forward to: Being out of the First Trimester... only a couple more days! C'mon week 13!
Other Notes: Notes from Parenting.com: You're reaching an important milestone--the end of the first trimester. Your baby now weighs about half an ounce and is about 2 1/2 inches long from top to bottom. He can open his mouth and wiggle his fingers and toes, upon which tiny nails have begun to grow. Brain development is in high gear, as fetal nerve cells multiply rapidly and synapses start firing.

How far along: 13 weeks
Baby size of: Peach
Favorite moment this week: Seeing Baby L on Monday at the doctor! We had a sonogram/ultrasound and he/she actually looked like a baby this time! My mom went with me to the appointment since Clint couldn't go. I really wish Clint could have been there but he loved the sonogram pictures It was very emotional for me seeing the little arms and legs moving! Maybe he/she was doing Zumba!
Miss Anything: Nope
Movement: I THINK I might have felt some movement when I went to bed on Wednesday night (9-18-13) but I could have been mistaken!

Looking forward to: A healthy second trimester! Prayers as we enter the next stage of pregnancy!
Other Notes: From Parenting.com- (ignore the she/her... we dont know what Baby L is) As the second trimester begins, your baby is growing quickly. She weighs about three-quarters of an ounce and measures between 2 1/2 to 3 inches from the top of her head to her bottom. She's in her fetal period, when the organs and tissues that took shape in the first trimester start to develop. Her intestines, originally part of the umbilical cord, have found a new home in her abdominal cavity. Her tongue and vocal chords are also getting ready for their debut at birth, and her eyes are moving closer together. Her ears are in place, and her head is roughly half the size of her whole body. (By birth, her head will be one-fourth the size of her body.)

Exercise: Zumba, Power Training, and Piloxing
Sleep:  Great!
Looking forward to: Cooler weather!!! Thankful to not go through pregnancy this time in the heat of the summer but ready for a nice cold front & feel the FALL weather!
Other Notes: From Parenting.com- Make a fist--that's how big your baby is now. At week 14, he weighs close to an ounce and measures between three and four inches from top to bottom. Like you, he can make a fist, too, with fingers that have a unique set of prints; an epidermal layer in his skin shows genetically determined ridges on the tips and palms. Keep drinking those glasses of skim milk, because in the next eight weeks the bones throughout his body will harden as calcium gets deposited. Your son's neck is now getting longer too, which means his chin doesn't have to rest on his chest anymore.

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender in 5 weeks!
Other Notes: From parenting.com- Your baby weighs about 1 3/4 ounces and measures between 4 1/2 inches from crown to rump. Fine, downy hair (called lanugo, which he'll shed before birth, grows on his body. Hair is sprouting on top of his head, too, although whatever color it is may change. His eyebrows have begun to fill in. Your baby hiccups, but he can't yet make a sound because his trachea is still filled with fluid, not air. The intestinal tract continues to develop.

Other Notes: From parenting.com- It's the end of your fourth month, and your baby now weighs 2 1/2 ounces. He or she able to kick her legs, which are measurably longer than the arms that her/his often swings about as he/she floats in a sea -- actually, 7 1/2 ounces -- of amniotic fluid. You may be able to discern some of his/her movements now; some women say they're like butterfly wings flapping gently. Some first-time moms don't feel anything, though, until the 24th week.

Psalm 139:13-16
For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them

How far along: 19 weeks
Baby size of: Mango
Favorite moment this week: Feeling and seeing the baby KICK for the first time on Monday! I had felt movement but not a kick! This was an amazing experience. It was right before bed time when I was folding laundry... I felt a couple kicks then layed down to "see" them! Baby kicked two more times and I saw them. I yelled at Clint...he was in the living room and he came and got to see one kick! So exciting!
Miss Anything: Nope... Loving every minute of pregnancy!
Movement: Yes!
Food cravings: Eating clean! Finally found a cure to my hunger in the mornings thanks to Lindsay's suggestion. My breakfast was only lasting an hour before I was hungry again. I was eating a Quest bar and banana. Lindsay said you need meat protein and eggs. I really have to have something I can heat up because I don't have time to cook breakfast in the morning (I like my sleep too much). So I tried the protein muffins & they are working so well! The past two mornings I have stayed satisfied until at least 10. I mixed 16 eggs, 1 lb. browned hamburger meat and spinach for my 16 muffins. Quick and easy breakfast that lasts!

How far along:  21 weeks
Baby size of: Pomegranate
Favorite moment this week: Sharing the news that our baby is a precious little girl!!!! We found out together at the sonogram appointment on Wednesday, Nov. 6. It was such an awesome experience that Clint and I shared. We thought we might not be able to find out because her legs were crossed while Kristen (our sonogram tech) was doing all the measurements. She told us to do our part with Dr. Acker  (maybe a little Zumba to help her move positions) and then we could go back in and see if her legs had uncrossed & find out the gender! Thankfully she was cooperative! We got our parents and my sister together at our house on the next evening to tell them. We had them watch the slideshow! The link is on the gender reveal blog post. Then, gave them onesies made by my friend Tara. We went out to eat at Fish Daddys after to celebrate. It was really hard to keep the secret from everyone until the party on Sunday but it was all worth it. We wouldn't change the way we did it! The party on Sunday was a dream! We shared our slideshow to reveal then had cake to celebrate! We thank everyone who came to find out what our little blessing was!
Miss Anything: My life is complete & will be more complete when she is here!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Still in but starting to poke out a little
Exercise: Zumba 3x and Power Training 2x
Sleep: Sleeping really well! Not getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night anymore, but Im sure this is temporary!
Looking forward to: Shopping in Canton next week for girly goodies!!! We are going for Black Friday & Saturday!
Other Notes: From parenting.com- Slowly and steadily, your baby is getting bigger, topping 12 ounces this week and growing to 11 inches from crown to rump. She won't be able to flash a toothy grin until months after birth, but growth is under way now to prepare for that camera-worthy day. Her first canines and molars are developing from hard tissue below the gum line. She has eyes now, although the irises have no pigment. Of the five senses, touch is the first one to develop in the womb; your baby makes sense of her world by feeling her way around and registering the sensations as she rolls, kicks, and stretches. And now that she has a full set of neurons, she can process everything she's discovering around her.

How far along:  23 weeks
Baby size of: Grapefruit
Favorite moment this week: Eating lots of yummy food for Thanksgiving and shopping for her some goodies in Canton! Got a piece of furniture for her room! Pics will come on a blog post later!
Miss Anything: Starting to miss being able to lay on my belly.
Movement: Yes still lots of movement and kicks!
Food cravings: Still mint chocolate!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Still in
Exercise: Zumba 2x and Power Training 1x
Sleep: Sleeping so good!
Looking forward to:
Other Notes: From parenting.com... Change "he" to "she" ;) Your continues to put on weight, bringing him up to about a pound this week, although with his red, wrinkly, and loose skin he's far from the bonny baby he'll become. Crown to rump, he's between 11 and 12 inches long, and he makes the most of his space inside the womb, kicking back, stretching his arms, and trailing his hands along the umbilical cord. He can hear now and is especially sensitive to loud noises, which can startle him, making his heart thump and his arms flail. He much prefers soothing music or the faint sound of your voice.

How far along:  24 weeks
Baby size of: Cantaloupe
Favorite moment this week: Hearing her heart beat at our 6 month appt. Her heart rate was 131 bmp this time. She must have been resting. :)
Miss Anything: No
Movement: Lots! I love it when I feel her though out the day! She had dance sessions in the evenings when I lay down to rest!
Food cravings: Still mint chocolate stuff! York Pieces are my best friend when I feel a little sweet tooth coming on.
Anything making you queasy or sick: There were a couple times this week I felt a little shaky... making sure I eat lots of protein throughout my day and having snacks in between meals.
Have you started to show yet: Yes, more and more every day it feels like!
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Mostly in but I have a feeling it may turn into an outie within the next few weeks... I have a HUGE belly button.
Exercise: Power Training 2x, Zumba 4x
Sleep: AMAZING!
Looking forward to: Christmas Break :)
Other Notes: From parenting.com- Your baby is about 12 inches long and weighs a little over a pound. She has developed the sweet face you'll soon see, with eyes and ears placed just where they should be. She's big enough that she can no longer do cartwheels and tumbles, but she's just as touchy-feely with her surroundings as she has been. She's also even more attuned into sounds outside the womb. If a loud noise disturbs her, she may be restless for hours.

How far along:  25 weeks
Baby size of: Cauliflower
Favorite moment this week: Hadleigh responding to Clint's voice! I read that babies in the womb can hear deeper tones better so we tried it and she kicked after he talked to her. She would stop... he would talk then she would kick again!
Miss Anything: Wish I could fit into all my clothes but I know its just temporary and I can get over that! Finding that a lot of things that were dresses last year with leggings now need to be worn with skinny JEANS!
Movement: She's a Dancing Queen this week!
Food cravings: York Peppermint Patties
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes... she's showing a lot more this week. I can tell she had a growth spurt again!
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Starting to get an outie. I have a really big belly button to begin with and it's looking even bigger!
Exercise: My schedule was a little off this week because of being sick with a cold and still recovering and it's the end of the week. I did Zumba 3x and Power Training 1x (leg day).
Sleep: Sleeping good but getting
Looking forward to: Getting her bedding made and crib! Can't wait to see her room all put together. The stain is being finished on the changing table so we will be getting that this week! Thanks Josh! :)
Other Notes: From parenting.com-This week, your baby weighs approximately 1 1/2 pounds. His heart is beating so loudly that anyone who presses an ear to your belly can hear it. His lungs are getting ready to take their first breath, and, though the sex of your baby was determined long ago, genital differentiation is now becoming complete. He can make a fist and reach his feet, and he may already exhibit a preference for his left or right hand.

How far along:  26 weeks
Baby size of: Lettuce
Favorite moment this week: Getting the fabric swatches for her crib bedding! I'm so excited to see her room come together!
Miss Anything: Nope
Movement: Still lots of movement especially after a meal and when I lay down to go to bed. She's most active in the evening at bed time.
Food cravings: Mint Chocolate
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: More and more every day
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Pretty flat.... almost an outie!
Exercise: Zumba 2x, Insanity 1x, Powertraining 2x
Sleep: Sleeping amazing!
Looking forward to:
Other Notes: From parenting.com-For months your baby's eyes have been shut, but now they're almost fully developed and will soon be ready to open. Interestingly, whatever her ethnicity her eyes are blue at this time: The irises don't display their final color until a few months after birth. Your baby's brain is maturing rapidly, and she's growing quickly. She's more than a foot long and two pounds this week. She's still quite lean, but by the time you meet her, she'll be cute and chubby.

How far along:  27 weeks
Baby size of: Rutabaga
Favorite moment this week: Spending time with family and friends celebrating Christmas!
Miss Anything: Wine.... but Sparkling grape juice will do for now!
Movement: Still lots of movement!
Food cravings: Still loving peppermint!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Flat
Exercise: Jogged 5 miles with Drake, Zumba 2x
Sleep: Sleeping even better with my "Snoogle" my hubby got me for Christmas from Motherhood Maternity! He thought of this all on his own! This pillow has so many ways to use it and is so comfy! Thanks honey!
Looking forward to: Next Christmas when Hadleigh will be 9 months old! I can't wait to see what she does when she sees the lights and opens presents! Also, making the best of the 3rd trimester and enjoying every last day of being pregnant with my little girl!
Other Notes: From parenting.com-At 13 weeks from birth, your baby is now almost 14 inches from head to toe and tips the scales at a little more than two pounds. He's bulking up with fat to keep him warm after he's born, and his lungs continue to develop. His immune system is also gearing up for life outside the womb. He has discovered thumb sucking, which isn't such a bad thing in the womb--it helps strengthen his cheek and jaw.

How far along:  28 weeks
Baby size of: Eggplant
Favorite moment this week: Hearing her heart beat at our 28 week appointment! I had the glucose test at this appointment. I had the Limeaid flavored drink and it actually tasted really good! It got Hadleigh moving for sure! Our next appointment is in 4 weeks and we will have another sonogram to see how she is growing! We are excited to be able to see her again!
Miss Anything: I missed having a drink on New Years Eve but it wasn't so bad- She's all worth it!
Movement: She's VERY active! I notice she is somewhat on a schedule and is active at the same times every day.
Food cravings: None
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes! Getting a little bigger every other day it feels like!
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Mostly out! LOL
Exercise: Zumba 4x
Sleep: Sleeping GREAT!
Looking forward to: Seeing her crib bedding finished! One of my sweet Zumba ladies is making it for me!
Other Notes: From parenting.com- At the beginning of the third trimester, your baby measures 14 inches and weighs about 2 1/2 pounds, having doubled her weight in a month. Her brain tissue continues to develop folds and grooves on what was once a smooth surface. Even though she's bigger, she still has plenty of room to flip around, so whatever position she's in right now will likely shift over the next three months.

How far along:  29 weeks
Baby size of: Acorn Squash
Favorite moment this week: HADLEIGH HICCUPS! She gets the hiccups about 4 to 5 maybe 6 times a day! They feel different than her regular movement and kicks. I had to look on the internet for what they felt like because at first I thought they were just kicks and she was just going at it for a little while. Hiccups are repetitive and rhythmic.... and kicks are random. The hiccups feel more like a pulse or a little spasm rather than the strong punch of the kicks! I found out that it is a normal part of the fetal development. One reason for hiccups could be her diaphragm contracting when the central nervous system is developing and is sending signals to her brain to contract her diaphragm so she can begin breathing! This was really cool to me! It's a constant reminder to me when I feel them that my baby is practicing for the real world!
Another favorite moment: I got to lay around with mom on Saturday night while the guys cooked dove diablos, played ping pong and did man stuff. We layed on her bed watching TV and Hadleigh was moving around a lot. She got to enjoy feeling her move around and kick!
Miss Anything: I miss being able to fit in to all my clothes but I know it's temporary & so worth it!
Movement: She's moving SO much! I feel movements at all times of the day but especially after eating and now in the morning when I wake up she's in there just a going at it! The BEST way to start my day is to feel her move and realize how blessed I am to have her on the way! I then say a prayer to keep her healthy and growing.
Food cravings: Nothing specific this week
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: My shirts are just now getting REALLY tight. I've been able to still wear a lot of my same tops and workout tops up until now. Pickings getting slim. Motherhood Maternity has such cute clothes & so does Target. I find a lot of maternity and juniors stuff on the sale rack at Target! I'm a bargain shopping kind of girl! Some of my Lulu tops are still fitting and Lindsay let me borrow some of hers! Thankful!
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: OUT
Exercise: Piranha (formerly Zumba at Piranha Fitness Studio) 4x and Power Training 2x. This was our first full week open for the new year and the energy at the studio was AMAZING! So good to see everyone back, supporting and motivating each other. After our drizzly leg day work out on Thursday, which was a killer, my mom mentioned that she never could have imagined being there doing the work outs we do! Showing up is half the battle when training.... and all of the Power Trainers show up and give 200%. I never could have imagined I would be doing the workouts I'm doing and especially pregnant! We all give what we can and encourage each other to finish strong! It's an
Sleep: Sleeping so well! I get around 8 hours a night. Over the holidays it was more! I have more energy during the day now which feels really good!
Looking forward to: Our first baby shower next weekend! It's a couples shower so Clint will be involved! I can't wait... it will be so much fun!
Other Notes: From parenting.com- Every day, your little one is looking more like a full-grown baby than a fetus. By the end of this week, he'll weigh about 2 3/4 pounds. For the rest of the trimester, he'll be bulking up and gaining approximately half a pound a week; between now and his birthday, he'll double or even triple in weight. His kicks and jabs are more vigorous now, and you feel like he's moving all the time.

Favorite moment this week: Our first baby shower for Hadleigh!!! Pics posted on the main blog!
Miss Anything: Being able to lay on my belly
Movement: She moves all the time! Still the coolest feeling ever. Love taking my baby everywhere with me and being reminded by her movements she's with me!
Food cravings:  None.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not queasy or sick but I am getting to the point where I feel shortness of breath at times. While teaching school I felt like I was somewhat gasping for air at some points in time! I got a kind of claustrophobic feeling one night after eating what I would have normally called a regular size dinner. There seems to be less room for food, Hadleigh, and air in my lungs.... so I'm starting to cut my portion sizes down a little bit and just eat more often.
Have you started to show yet: Yes.
Gender: GIRL
Belly Button in or out: Mostly out!
Exercise: Zumba 3x, Power Training 2x
Sleep: SO GOOD.... My favorite time of day!
Looking forward to: Shower #2 this upcoming Sunday!!!
Other Notes: From Parenting.com- Rock-a-bye baby, indeed--your baby goes to sleep now. When she's not asleep, she's busy making faces, bopping around, hiccuping, and nudging you. She weighs almost three pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long. She's close to having a fully functioning nervous system that regulates the body, and her nerve fibers are now encased in myelin, which allows impulses to travel faster.

Favorite moment this week: Baby Shower #2!!! It was such a blessing to be surrounded by so many amazing women who came to shower our little girl with gifts! We appreciate each and every one of you & are so thankful to have you in our lives!
Miss Anything: Im going to admit I'm really missing a Fish Daddy's margarita! I told Clint that's the first alcoholic drink I would like to enjoy post pregnancy!
Movement: LOTS! It's kind of getting to where it's starting to hurt when she rolls around in there!
Food cravings:  Sausage!
Anything making you queasy or sick: I've still  felt a little uncomfortable at times- especially after eating. I need to focus on eating smaller meals and not continue putting in the same amount I was.
Have you started to show yet: Yes- the bump is going furthur out every day is feels like. I'm still rubbing Bio Oil on my belly and hips twice a day after showers. No stretch marks.
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Out/flat
Exercise: Piranha 4x, Power Training 1x (arm day)
Sleep: . Sleeping through the night very well! Only getting up a couple nights to go to the restroom.
Looking forward to: Seeing our little girl at our appointment next Thursday! My doctor wants to check her growth and get an estimated fetal weight. I'm sure she's changed so much from 20 weeks!
Other Notes: From Parenting.com- Your baby is packing on the ounces at such a clip that his weight gain outpaces the speed at which his limbs are growing. He's now almost 15 inches from head to toe. He's shedding the lanugo, and his eyebrows and eyelashes are filling in.

Favorite moment this week: Getting to see Miss Hadleigh at our 32 week appointment! She weighs 4 pounds and 3 oz and is right on track! We got to see her practicing her breathing & her eyes were slightly open. She is in the frank breech position so we need her to turn to be head down!
Miss Anything: No
Movement: Lots of kicking/punching. Hopefully she decides to move into position because right now she is frank breeched. It is still early enough though to where she can move on her own to head down position!
Food cravings:  None
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Out/Flat
Exercise: Zumba 3x, Power Training 1x (leg day)
Sleep: Great!
Looking forward to: Packing our hospital bags so it is one less thing to worry about in a couple of weeks!
Other Notes: Your normally energetic baby has started to chill out a bit. Her movements feel more like squirms and rolls rather than hyperactive kickboxing sessions. That's because this week, when she's three pounds and 15 inches long, she has begun to run out of room (or should we say womb?). Beneath her skin is a nice layer of fat, and although she still relies on the umbilical cord for nourishment, her digestive tract is almost fully developed. Fetal brain scans show that babies this age actually have rapid eye movements, which means they're dreaming. Who knows what dreams now fill your baby's slumber.

Favorite moment this week: Putting together her swing/rocker and stroller! I can't wait to put them to use!
Miss Anything: Nope
Movement: All day long she is slowly moving & kicking!
Food cravings:  St. Anthony Spaghetti Dinner!!!! Look forward to this every year!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: flat
Exercise: Piranha 3x, Power Training 2x (arm and leg day)
Sleep: Amazing! Not getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night... waking up feeling rested!
Looking forward to: Our appointment on Monday to see how she is doing! Our appointments are every 2 weeks now... then we will go to every week!
Other Notes: From Parenting.com- Your little one is about 3 1/2 pounds and is gaining as much as eight ounces a week. He continues to sprout like a reed, his arms and legs perfectly proportioned to the rest of his body. He measures between 15 and 16 inches and has little room to wiggle, but he's still quite active, even if it means he has to squirm around most of the time.

Favorite moment this week: Finding out at our appointment that Hadleigh is still right on track and she's most likely head down at this point! Please pray she is! :)
-We attended the breast feeding information class at St. Joseph Hospital this past Wednesday. We loved it! The instructor was Cindy Kobar and she was great! We learned a lot and are excited to breast feed our baby. I know it might to be easy but we are determined!
-I got her personalized hospital gown ordered from And Sew On!
-I got a new pair of sweats from Victoria's Secret Pink for my hospital bag
Miss Anything: Nope
Movement: She has definitely got more active and can feel her movements and hiccups better! I can feel parts of her body sticking out at time and my belly gets bigger on one side than the other! It's really cool! I love it!
Food cravings:  None
Anything making you queasy or sick: I kind of had a little sour stomach on Wednesday & Thursday this week. I had a light headache also. I think this week was just a really busy week. I felt very productive but just not quite up to par as far as my body.
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Flat
Exercise: Piranha 3x (including Twin Day on Tuesday- so much fun!) and 2x Power Training (arm/leg day)
Sleep: Very well! Thursday night I woke up with a little back pain and it was nothing a heating pad couldn't take care of.
Looking forward to: Attending the birthing class that St. Joes offers next Saturday. It is a full day but we are ready to learn all we can about the process. I might pass out..... LOL.
Other Notes: From Parenting.com- By the end of this week, your baby may weigh as much as four pounds and measure 16 inches. As the uterine and abdominal walls stretch and thin, more light reaches the womb, causing her to open and close her eyes in response. It also helps her know day from night so she can cycle between activity and rest.

Favorite moment this week: Picking up her personalized hospital gown from And Sew On! So excited to see her in it! I'm imagining what her birth day will be like!
Miss Anything: No
Movement: She's very active all day. I love watching my belly move and change shapes!
Food cravings:  None- still eating clean and focusing on staying hydrated!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Felt REALLY tired this week! I'm on the downhill slope which means my energy will decrease. I just made sure I rested when I felt tired. I went to bed at 8:30pm a couple nights! My husband has done a wonderful job of making sure I'm getting rest and taking care of me. He described me as "Zombie-like"! Haha
Have you started to show yet: Yes! My belly feels so tight! When I tell people I'm 8 almost 9 months pregnant they look at my belly really surprised and say really??? Where's the baby? haha!
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Flat/out
Exercise: Piranha- Cardio 2x and Power Training 2x (arms and legs)
Sleep: . Sleeping great in between the frequent restroom breaks during the night. They are starting to pick up again. I think I average 2x a night.
Looking forward to: Taking the birth class on Saturday! It's going to be some good information & I'm excited and nervous at the same time to learn it! Clint is going with me and I think it will ease my mind on some things. After taking the breast feeding class I felt a whole lot better about it.... knowledge is power! :)
Also looking forward to our ultrasound next Wednesday to see if she's head down and ready to go! I can't wait to see her again.... maybe we will get some good pictures this time!
Other Notes: From Pregnancy.com- Good news! There's an excellent chance that your baby will have no complications if born at 35 weeks or later. He's 5 pounds now and is nearly 18 inches. His skull is still fairly soft and isn't yet completely fused so he can squeeze through the birth canal.

How far along: 36 weeks (9 months!!!!)

Favorite moment this week: Rock Prairie Baby Shower! Felt so blessed to be showered with love and gifts for my baby girl! We are SET!
Also, we had a sonogram at our 36 week appointment and she's looking good! She weighs about 5 lbs, 12 oz. It was hard to get good pics because of her position but it was amazing! The fluid levels went up! I've been working on drinking ALOT more water.
Miss Anything: No
Movement: Constant movement all day! I even wake up in the middle of the night and she's still moving around! LOVE, love, LOVE! I will miss this the most!
Food cravings:  None- still eating healthy!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yes! I feel like this week she's really gotten out there!
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Flat
Exercise: Piranha 3x and Power training 1x (arm day)
Sleep: Sleeping great! Restroom about 2x a night.
Looking forward to: Taking maternity pictures!
Other Notes: From Pregnancy.com- Your baby weighs approximately five pounds and her full length is about 18 inches. She continues to put on fat, which will keep her warm and help her regulate her body temperature when she's born.

How far along: 37 weeks
Baby size of:  Winter Melon (about 19-20 inches long & 6.5 lbs)
Favorite moment this week: Savoring every moment with my precious 3rd graders. It was my last week at work since next week is Spring Break and I won't be returning before the end of the year. I felt so loved on my last day... our room moms brought cupcakes and a gift basket! All the kids signed a card for me and gave me lots of hugs! They are so excited to see Hadleigh when she gets here because they have been a part of my pregnancy journey since the beginning of the year!
Miss Anything: No
Movement: Her movements are stronger than ever! I can feel her little feet kicking on my right side & when her whole body moves it feels really weird! I love feeling her move and kick! No Braxton Hicks surprisingly!
Food cravings:  None
Anything making you queasy or sick: Starting to run out of room in there and so it's starting to get a little uncomfortable.
Have you started to show yet: People are still surprised when I tell them I'm 9 months pregnant. But to me I feel like I have a pretty big belly! Love it though!
Gender: GIRL!
Belly Button in or out: Flat
Exercise: Zumba 2x
Sleep: Slept pretty good except one night I was up every night
Looking forward to: Taking a tour of St. Joe's labor and delivery this upcoming Tuesday & getting everything packed and ready for the hospital. I did her first load of laundry last Sunday and it was filled with pink and smelled sooooo good! Love the smell of Dreft... it was my first time using it! Now that it's Spring Break I will be able to get last minute things done and checked off the list. My last week at work was busy but now I'm able to relax!
Other Notes: From parenting.com- At over 18 inches long, your baby is doing well. He's learning what it's like to breathe, inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid to perfect his skills. He can also suck his thumb, turn his head, swallow, blink, and grasp.

  1. You look so cute! We're only 5 weeks apart. I was sick a lot up until this week at week 17. I'm hoping I'm also in the feeling great club soon!
